Equitainment's Comments

This is a lovely book in really good condition ... it could almost pass as new. First edition hardback published in 2005 by Scholastic. All the pages are clean, bright and tighly bound. The fly cover is present and in good condition.

A lovely book to read and cherish.

Product Overview

Squirrel and her brother Bone begin their lives in a tool-shed behind someone's summerhouse, nurtured by their mother and taught the skills they will need to survive as stray dogs.

But when her mother and brother are taken away from Squirrel, suddenly and too soon, she is forced to make her own way in the world, facing busy highways, changing seasons, and humans both gentle and brutal. In the process, Squirrel maes two friends who, in very different ways, will define her fate. At once heartrending and hopeful, Ann Martin's exquisite story of a dog's life is told with her trademark grace and insight.
