This is the very popular author Kathleen Peyton's (author of Flambards and Blind Beauty) latest book and it's another beauty. It's set in Roman Britain where the heroine Minna, saves a newborn foal from certain death and raises it to become a valuable war horse in the Roman army.

I'm a big fan of historical fiction (and movies), so I have a real soft spot for these type of stories.
