Product Overview

Like all Nez Perce Indians, young Spotted Salmon was an excellent horseman. He was experienced in hunting, too, and when June bought the salmon run to the rivers, he showed his skill in catching the fish after which he was named.

The work and play of his tribe, whose lands were in the American Northwest, his courtship of Sunflower Girl, the legends told by his elders about Coyote, the tribal hero - all these woven into this lively account of life among the Nez Perce.
