Flicka - DVD

Flicka is slightly based on Mary O'Hara's book My Friend Flicka, this movie has a fiesty determined modern day girl in it. The scenery is beautiful, a feel good family movie - in one scene with the lion might be a tad much for the littlies.

Ryan Kwanteen plays the brother and most would remember him from Home and Away as Vinnie. I found getting around Tim McGraw as the gruff father a little getting used to. Haha. I loved Maria Bello as mother, especially in the scene where she is playing with her daughter's hair, real mother like.

One of the best parts I liked of the film, is hearing the story that she wrote, loved the description.
