I just love this new series ... definitely one of my favourites in quite a while. THE ONE DOLLAR HORSE is the first book in an eventing trilogy, and while it is offically aimed at teenagers, it's great for mums too.
The heroine (who can barely ride) lives in a housing commission estate, rescues a starving horse, pays a dollar for it and within a year is on her way to world wide fame and glory.
Yes, it is far fetched. Yes, it's cheezy. Do we care? Not a scrap!
It's terrific fun and perfect for complete equestrian escapism. As complete horse addicts, we've all dreamt about something like this happening to us, and here is a story that brings it all to life.
While it is offically young adult fiction, it's great for mums too. Book 2 RACE THE WIND will be here in about a week, and the third book FIRE STORM will be here next Easter.
