There is only about a week until Season 4 Part 2 of everyone's favourite TV series HEARTLAND is released. I'm finalising my first order this week, so please make sure your order is in now so you don't miss out in the first wave of deliveries.

I have also managed to contact the distributor and unfortunately the Christmas TV movie special won't be released in Australia which is very disappointing. It falls between seasons 4 and 5, but luckily isn't intergral to the ongoing story line.

The good news is that Heartland is still in production in Canada. Season 6 is currently showing on Canadian TV, and plans for Season 7 are underway so there will be plenty of action to come for some time yet.

Due to receiving so many requests, I've now starting keeping various training and horsemanship DVD's in stock. Meanwhile, here are a few titles that I know are already best sellers.

The runaway best seller at the moment is the new 7 CLINICS WITH BUCK BRANNAMAN training series. So many people watched the award winning documentary BUCK and are now so keen to learn more about this gentle man's training methods. I've still haven't managed to watch any yet as they are selling as fast as new stock arrives. Hopefully I can sneak a set out of the next delivery and sit down to enjoy it.

Karl Ferdinand Hemphling is the leading European "horse whisperer". He has an enormous following throughout the world with his many books being international best-sellers. Here are two of his training DVD's, the original DANCING WITH HORSES and his more recent release COMING TOGETHER.

Dressage has become such a controversial sport over the last few years and leaves many of us (including me) with their heads spinning over what it all means. Two of the most hotly debated topics in the last decade have been "Classical versus Modern" techniques, and of course the hotly debated "rolkur" or hyperflexion. Here are two dvd's that attempt to shed light on these topics.

CLASSICAL VERSUS CLASSIQUE is the filming of two dressage legends, Philippe Karl and Christoph Hess locked in a heated discussion on what classical dressage really is. Both men are so highly respected, their varying opinions are sure to make for very interesting veiwing.

I have seen IF HORSES COULD SPEAK before and found it fascinating viewing. Whether you are for or against the training method of using rolkur, this DVD makes the horses physiology and explanation of the FEI rulebook all very clear. I know you will all make your own judgements, but it is an interesting perspective.

Jumping products are generally harder to find for some reason. Here is a good, balanced training DVD that includes flatwork for jumping horses to increase flexibility as well as the overall ride. TRAINING THE MODERN JUMPER with Elmar Pollmann-schweckhorst, is a great balanced choice for all levels of riders.

I'm so looking forward to seeing this film. It stars Bob, an amazing Gypsy Cob who, by all accounts, totally steals the show. Even non horsey fans are loving every minute of this one, so make sure it is under your tree on Christmas day.

Whitney Brown, a spoiled pre-teen is forced to move to the country when her parents feel the squeeze of economic hard times. She befriends an amazing horse, and undertakes a misguided journey back to her old life.

The complete first season of LUCK is also coming up for release very soon. Set in the world of thoroughbred horse racing, it is both the brain-child of and stars, Dustin Hoffman.

In this provocative look at the worlds of horseracing and gambling, told through a diverse group of characters surrounding a California racetrack, Michael Mann directs Dustin Hoffman as intuitive tough guy Chester 'Ace' Bernstein, who has always been involved with gambling, from bookmaking and money laundering to casino operations.

This is a beautiful family movie that has recently been re-released for Australian audiences. I'm so glad some of these classics are making a reappearance. Good family movies are becoming so hard to find.

Young Polly Regan wished that the unicorn, king of horses, would keep her own pony from dying. Even though she didn't get her wish, the horse left a miracle behind - a baby unicorn.

Whether you're one of the many fans of minature horses, or you are just looking for a nice family movie, THE ADVENTURES OF RAGTIME is a great choice.

Starring movie veteran Shelley Long, this movie hasn't been available in Australia for quite a few years now. The mini horse is the real star of the show. Cute beyond belief and so well trained. It makes me want to rush out and get a mini of my own.
