At long last I've finally worked out how to set up a Facebook page for Equitainment.

As I'm not a regular Facebook user, it's all been a big mystery to me on how it works, but I think I've got the hang of it now.

At least now we can put all talk about our favourite books and movies, and I'm really looking forward to hearing what your opinions and thoughts are too.

Don't forget to tell your friends, so they can join in too ... the more the merrier :-)

I finally have a release date for the next installment of the Heartland series which is the 3rd of November 2011.

I won't put it up for pre-sale until the beginning of October as it is still quite some time away, but at least we will have it in time for Christmas.

I have been trying and trying to contact ABC programming but I still can't get any word on when Season 4 will finally appear on the TV. I've left yet another message today, so maybe someone will phone be back tomorrow. As soon as I know I'll post it on my website and on the Facebook page.

Season 5 is about to premiere on TV in Canada and I've added the link to the trailer here. There are spoilers on the official Heartland website, so if you want to wait until you see it on the telly, don't go in and snoop :-)

A new movie is in pre-production based on the famous black showjumper, Jappeloup who won gold at the 1988 Seoul Olympics.

This gorgeous horse might have been small in stature (he was only 15 hands) but he was gigantic in heart. He was out of a trotter mare by a thoroughbred stallion and was known to frequently fall back into trot, even between the enormous World Cup fences.

He was originally passed over by his rider Pierre Durand for being too small, but he put that myth well and truly to rest at the Seoul Olympics beating the legendary Gem Twist and Greg Best who had to settle for the Silver Medal.

The film will be shot on location in France and Germany beginning in September. I'm not sure that we will ever get the movie at the pictures here in Australia, but I'm sure we will be able to track it down on DVD.

At least that is something :-)

The Disney studios have reportedly pulled the plug on the new Lone Ranger film due to rising costs.

The film was to star Johnny Depp as Tonto who has been involved in the movie since 2008, but as projected budgets soared to over $250 million, Disney have decided they can't justify the enormous spend.

It's such a shame for all the Lone Ranger fans out there. He is one of my all-time favourite cowboy heroes (apart from Shane) and I was really looking forward to the movie.

Maybe it will be re-vamped at a later date in a less dramatic format.
