NEW SERIES BY BABETTE COLE
One of my all-time children's authors (and an author I avidly collect myself) is BABETTE COLE who has recently released a new books series for young readers.
Rated as one of the top three authors of childrens picture books in the world, her books have become classics to millions of young children all around the planet. DR DOG was made into a tv series, MUMMY LAID AN EGG became the worlds best-selling book for young children on sex education, PRINCESS SMARTY PANTS remains continually on the best-selling lists and that is just to name a few.
Apart from being an author, she is also a very avid horse rider and competes regularyly in side-saddle jumping competitions ... strewth! She has written a ton of pony books over the years (which I collect like crazy) including my all-time favourite POP-UP PONIES. It is the cutest little gift book and now very much sought after amongst collecters ... I think we should all start a petition to bring it back into print!
Her latest serIes FETLOCK HALLS is set in an unusual pony school where extraordinary things happen. Not only do the students learn all about horses, new student Penny Simms also discovers the secret of the magical unicorn world, Equitopia.
The lovely magical series is suitable for all children who are now reading well enough on their own to start with chapter books. So far four books in the series have been released and more will be coming later in the year.
